STEP 1: Getting Started

• Deal CENTERED Cards: Shuffle the CENTERED cards and deal 4 to each player.

• Set the Decks: Place the STORY and GUESS cards in 2 separate piles where all players can reach them.

• First Player: The youngest player starts the game. Players take turns moving counterclockwise.

STEP 2: Time to Play!

• Draw a Card: The active player picks up a STORY or GUESS card and reads it aloud.

  • STORY Cards: Everyone answers the question. The player who drew the card answers last and awards the card to the player whose story they enjoyed most.

  • GUESS Cards: Everyone guesses the answer to the question for the player who drew the card. The active player reveals their true answer and gives the card to the person whose guess was closest.

• Using CENTERED Cards: If you hear a story or guess that resonates with a CENTERED card adjective (for example, “thoughtful”), hand that card to the player who shared it.

• Winning: The first player to collect 8 cards (whether STORY, GUESS, or CENTERED) wins.

TIP: There’s no wrong way to play CENTERED. Play at your own pace, and feel free to skip questions that aren’t applicable to you. Whether you’re playing competitively or just to have fun, everyone wins when an ordinary moment turns into an opportunity for memorable connection.
